The Baby Einstein Company, commonly known as Baby Einstein and currently Disney Baby Einstein, is an American children's media franchise and early entertainment company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Founded on January 31, 1996 by Julie Aigner-Clark, the company is known from developing books, CDs, multimedia products, and toys, as well as producing Baby Einstein videos, such as Language Nursery.

Development[edit]

While Julie-Aigner Clark was watching the very first video with her baby, the very first video in the set is Language Nursery, which was first created on January 31, 1997. The second video Julie Clark created was Baby Mozart: Music Festival, which was released on February 1, 1998. A third video released on the first day of January in 1999 was Baby Bach about classical music by J.S. Bach. On November 23, she created and produced the fourth video named Baby Shakespeare: World of Poetry. Starting on August 15, 2000, a video about colors named Baby Van Gogh was released. During winter holidays, there was a video started on November 1, 2000 called Baby Santa's Music Box. An ordinary video released on May 15, 2001 was originally named Baby Dolittle: Neighborhood Animals, which was commonly called either "Baby Einstein: Neighborhood Animals" or "Neighborhood Animals". On July 24, 2001, a video about world animals was originally released as "Baby Dolittle: World Animals". Starting on November 7, 2001, Baby Einstein was owned by The Walt Disney Company until October 14, 2013. Beginning on March 12, 2002, a video about shapes was named "Baby Newton: All About Shapes", which was currently called "Baby Newton" or "Baby Newton: Discovering Shapes". On October 22, 2002, there was a video about classical music called "Baby Beethoven: Symphony of Fun". To discover water, a video was released in March 2003, called "Baby Neptune". On August 5, 2003, there was video about the sky and outer space, called "Baby Galileo: Discovering the Sky", directed by Park Place Productions. On November 2003, there was a video about numbers 1 to 5, called "Numbers Nursery". Beginning in March 2004, there was a video about the farm, called "Baby MacDonald: A Day on the Farm". Directed by Park Place Productions who previously directed Baby Galileo, a video about parts of the body displayed through art by Leonardo da Vinci and other artists was named "Baby da Vinci: From Head to Toe". On October 26 2004, a video was released as "Baby Noah: Animal Expedition" where it is about wild animals. The first video in 2005 was released as "Baby Monet: Discovering the Seasons" about seasons displayed through paintings by Claude Monet. On July 19 2005, there was a video named "Baby Wordsworth: First Words - Around the House", which was the first "First Words" video by Baby Einstein. A video released on October 25, 2005 was named "On the Go: Riding, Sailing and Soaring" about vehicles. In 2006, the first video in that year was released as "Meet the Orchestra: First Instruments", which began on March 18. Directed by Mark LaVine, there was a video released on July 25 about places around a town and their sign language named "Baby's Favorite Places: First Words - Around Town", which was an another "First Words" video. On October 24th, a video was released as "Baby's First Moves: Get Up and Go!" about movement milestones. In 2007, the video released on March 13 was called "My First Signs: See and Sign with Baby" about First Sign Language. The name has been changed to Disney Baby Einstein as starting in 2007, but another video released in 2007 was called "Discovering Shapes: Circles, Squares, and More!", which began on July 24th. A yet another video about soothing, calming and relaxing music and bedtime was named "Lullaby Time: Soothing Sounds for Babies", released on October 30th. In 2008, the only video about sounds or exposure to foreign languages and words was named "Baby's First Sounds: Discoveries for Little Ears", released on March 11. Beginning in 2009, Julie Clark created 2009 DVD releases of Baby Einstein videos that featured modes in the main menu. Farewell, and, there is the video released on the last day of March in 2009 called "World Music", which is about cultural music and traditional instruments around the globe. A video about animals from the seven continents was released on September 29, 2009 was named "World Animal Adventure", usually a sequel to "Baby Dolittle: World Animals". A video, "World of Colors", was unknownly released as an cancelled video. In 2010, a series of Baby Einstein box sets called Discovery Kits were made with Julie Aigner-Clark as the director. Later in 2012, they were released as original videos.
