The Balkans (documentary series)

The Balkans is a 2020 Prime video series on the Southeast Europe region of the same name.[1] The series follows journalist, Cameron Ashplant, as he discovers the little known European counties of Romania, Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Bulgaria, in an attempt to better understand the 'Balkan identity'.

The series was written by Musaab Salem and Cameron Ashplant and produced by Across the Channel Productions Ltd[2] with Simon Reeve serving as Executive Producer.[3]

The series was due to premiere at Beau Sejour Theatre in July 2020 on the island of Guernsey, but this was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[4]
