Cast[edit]

Production[edit]

Development[edit]

In November 2012, prior to the release of The Collection, series creators Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton confirmed the film was in development under the title The Collected.[1] In August 2014, the film began moving forward at LD Entertainment, with Josh Stewart reprising his role as Arkin.[2] In August 2017, Dunstan reaffirmed that development was still ongoing, but was taking very "slow steps".[3] In September 2018, Bloody Disgusting attributed the underperformance of The Collection as to why the film had stalled out in development.[4]

Pre-prodcution[edit]

On May 3, 2019, Stewart unveiled a poster for the film, revealing the project had been revived.[5] By the end of the month, Emma Fitzpatrick signed on to return as Elena from the previous film.[6] David Brown and Brett Forbes were set to produce. By this point, LD Entertainment was no longer attached to the project leading to Brown to shop the film at the Cannes Film Festival. His studio, Clear Horizon Entertainment, had acquired the international rights to the film.[7] In September of that year, Tom Atkins entered negotiations for a lead role.[8] The following month, Atkins affirmed he was playing Arkin's father.[9]

Filming[edit]

Filming began on September 23, 2019 in Atlanta with Atkins, Randy Havens, Dot-Marie Jones, and Navi Rawat officially joining the cast.[10] In October, Peter Giles was revealed to be playing The Collector.[11] After eight days of filming, production unexpectedly shut down.[12] The cast expected production to pick up again by late October 2019.[13] Filming was then believed to begin once again in Vancouver in early 2021, but production never took place.[14][15] In April 2021, Dunstan claimed that props were stolen from the set and that the producers had not been in contact with him since the closure of production and that he does not have the rights to the film, preventing him from finishing the it. Melton added that "very little" of the film was shot.[16]
