The Empty Grave is a young adult thriller novel by Jonathan Stroud. It is the last book in the Lockwood & Co. series. It was released in the United Kingdom on 21 September 2017 and released in United States on 12 September 2017.[3][4][5]

- Anthony Lockwood: Leader of Lockwood & Co.
- Lucy Carlye: After the events that took place in their previous mission, Lucy decides to re-join Lockwood & Co. and take back her position as the third member of Lockwood & Co.
- George Cubbins: Second member of Lockwood & Co. and is in charge for finding information
- Holly Munro: Became the forth of Lockwood & Co..When Lucy left Lockwood & Co. Holly became the third member, but afterwards again became the fourth member after Lucy returned.
- Quill Kipps: After losing his hearing ability he was removed from Fittes Agency. Lockwood then hired Kipps who then became the fifth member of Lockwood & Co.

On the 10th of April, Stroud told his fans that he had sent the first draft of The Empty Grave to his editors.[6][7]

The Empty Grave is the fifth and last book of the series Lockwood & Co.. Previous Lockwood & Co. books include The Screaming Staircase[8], which is the first book, The Whispering Skull[9], which is the second book, The Hollow Boy[10], which is the third book, and The Creeping Shadow[11], which is the fourth book.
