The European University of Technology[1] is an alliance of eight technological universities in the European Union. It has the acronym EUt+. The organization aims to create an original and federative institution, ultimately awarding a single diploma.

The alliance[edit]

The eight members of the European University of Technology[2] alliance are the Riga Technical University (Latvia), the Technical University of Sofia (Bulgaria), the Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus), the Hochschule Darmstadt, University of Applied Sciences (Germany), the Technological University Dublin (Ireland), the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (Spain), the University of Technology of Troyes (France), and the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania).

The European universities[edit]

The "European Universities" initiative is supported by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ agency[3] agency. There have been two successive calls for this project. The first closed on 28 February 2019 and 17 alliances of European universities were selected[4]. The second call for projects closed on 26 February 2020, the selection phase is currently underway.
