The Golden Age ("L'Âge d'Or") is Jenna Suru’s debut French period drama feature about the World-Changing Charms of 60s Saint-Tropez[1]. It had great success in March 2020 at the Opening Night of London IFF[2][3]. The Golden Age sold-out the Genesis Cinema and was Awarded Best Female-Director Feature.

Plot[edit]

May 1967. A Franco-American producer meets an ambitious French theater actress in Paris.[4][5] Both desperate to change the world, they decide to embark on an artistic project together, ending up in a small village in the South of France: Saint-Tropez.[6][7][8] It tells the story of two young people struggling to maintain their artistic integrity[9].
