The Ones To Watch

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

'The Ones To Watch' was a British TV series that ran for one season on Sky 1 starting in May 2014. It was produced by Fresh One Productions and paid for by Samsung, with the idea originating from ad agency Cheil London as part of Samsung's 'Launching People' campaign. The series starred Idris Elba, Paloma Faith, Rankin, and Gizzi Erskine as mentors to up-and-coming talents in film, music, photography, and food. Subjects for the show were selected via a social media competition where entrants uploaded a film about their ambition. The mentors selected the winners themselves, and included filmmaker Andrew Bond, singer-songwriter Annie Afrilu, photographer Connor Clinch, and Le Bun - a gourmet burger pop up run by duo Andy Taylor and Tim Talbot. The series was a finalist at the 2015 Broadcast Digital Awards for the category of Best Content Partnership or AFP.[1][2]
