Stanislaw died January 20, 1926; from improper ventilation in his blacksmith shop. leaving her with their three young children (that survived to adulthood). She struggled to take care of her family during the crisis in 1929. The 1930 Census lists Olga Marie as age 33 and children Bernadine (age 9) Michael (age 7) and Ambrose (age 6) at the household in Mazeppa, Minnesota[4]that was lost due to the actions of the banker who stole her monthly payments and had fled to Canada; taking all the savings from the village people, and the catholic church didnt pay back a loan that Stanislaw had loaned them. It appears that her second husband had the name Henry Burton. Olga died on the 18th of March, 1971.

Bernadine Helena had three sons and two daughters with Paul Carl Plasencia between 1942 and 1960. thus starting the Plasencia clan She died on December 25, 2012 she was the mother of Steve Plasencia a former American long-distance runner. Plasencia competed in the 10,000 metres at the 1988 Summer Olympics and the 1992 Summer Olympics. In the closest 1-2 finish in the race's history, Plasencia edged out Keith Brantly by one second to win the 1992 California International Marathon (2:14:14). His 14:02.86 5000 metres at the Drake Relays at the age of 40 was the American Masters record until 2014 when it was broken by Bernard Lagat. and He is the head cross-country and track and field coach at the University of Minnesota.where he has won three Indoor Big Ten Track and Field Championships (2009, 2010, 2011) and two Outdoor Big Ten Track and Field Championships (2009, 2010) .[5][6]

He Had Michael Joseph (Mike) and Peter with Elizabeth[8], thus starting the Rochester & St. Paul clans.

-Mike served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1964. He was trained in electronics and radar detection and served in the underwater radar detection unit. He lived in New Hampshire for three years, moved to Italy for two years, and then the Netherlands for two years where His Daughter Heather was born. He worked with and studied stained glass there. In 1976, he and his wife Sephanie moved to Rochester and opened Rochester Stained Glass. Mike ran for and was elected to be a county commissioner in 1986 and subsequently was re-elected to that position six times. On the county board, he was known as a strong advocate for vulnerable and disadvantaged children and citizens. Mike and Stephanie had a vision of how to help the community heal from the raw emotions of 9/11. They translated that into a design and a community project for a beautiful set of stained glass panels in memory of the victims of 9/11. The labor involved in building it included over 500 volunteers from the Rochester area. Mike and Stephanie's stained glass creations are installed in numerous Rochester and Byron churches.[9] Mike was a member of Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Fraternity. Among the many honors he received were: Committee on Urban Design and Environment; Rochester Convention and Visitors Bureau Hometown Hero Award, Mayor's Award for Community Service, Cambodian American Friendship Award, Zumbro Valley Medical Society Public Service Award and the Mayor's Legacy Award. Some of his friends referred to him as rustic philosopher, He also served as a consultant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire? when his daughter Laurel was a contestant on Episode 274 (May 18, 2001) - Couples Edition (4)[10]

Laurel Podulke-Smith is a 2005 graduate of the Alexander Training Institute of Los Angeles (ATI-LA) where she completed her three-year, 1600 hour training. In 1963 Michael Podulke was a member of the working committee with the founding of the Internationaal Kunsthuis . The Kunsthuis was created from a suggestion of Dr. med. Louis Gans, former conservator of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. The Kunsthuis should promote contemporary art and open up a larger market for it. On 1 January 1965 Podulke resigned from the Internationaal Kunsthuis. The association could not realize their ideas and dissolved later.

Michael Podulke was looking for new fields of activity and participated in the middle of the sixties at Galerie Mokum in Amsterdam, founded in 1962 , owned by the gallery owner Dieuwke Bakker. [17] He was involved in the management of the gallery until mid-1969, showed the only figurative Dutch art. The gallery presented various forms of realism, such as New Realism , Naive Realism and Magic Realism, The artists represented by the Galerie Mokum were Ferdinand Erfmann, Sal Meijer, Teunn and Cornelis Doolaard. Later followed Dick Pieters, Wout Muller, Clary Mastenbroek, Jasper van Putten, Kik Zeiler. The gallery Mokum wanted to consciously counterbalance the established museums and galleries that, in keeping with contemporary tastes , emphasized abstract art . Later, Michael Podulke founded his own gallery. Galerie Podulke organized exhibitions from October 1969 to June 1970.

In 1975, Michael Francis moved to the north (East Frisia), because he dealt intensively with nature in his work. He lived and worked in his studio there until his death in 1988. In Ostfriesland he got to know and love the painter and graphic artist Hildegard Peters . Both lived together in the north and on the island of Norderney . His works have been presented at numerous exhibitions, especially in the East Frisian region. In his works he dealt with the landscape of East Frisia, but also with local political topics. From 1983 Podulke turned artistically with a series of collages against the creation of a Heinrich Heine sculpture of the National Socialist state sculptor Arno Breker on the East Frisian island of Norderney.

There were a total of about 660 works (179 oil paintings, 15 different editions in gravure, 13 lithographs, 287 woodcuts, including 13 editions). There is now a catalog raisonné about his oeuvre .[18]

Operation Michael Francis worked mainly in the technique of woodcut . Only at the beginning of his artistic work were gravures and lithographs created . In the early woodcuts, he copied sticks into which he either cut a complete representation or sticks into which he incorporated parts of a complete representation (usually divided into strokes and tone plates). In the late woodcuts he used self-dyed Japanese paperon which he printed different or same motifs. Michael Podulke used in his late work increasingly collage techniques. Partly he stuck small shreds of dyed Japanese paper on, often in connection with complete, previously printed motifs. Striking is in Podulke his strong coloring.

Thematically, Michael dealt almost exclusively with nature ( still lifes , floral arrangements, landscape depictions). His motives were mainly animals (fantastically looking lizards, snakes and fish) and flowers. The pictorial worlds used were predominantly sea and shore landscapes. These pictorial worlds were often romantically and temporarily implemented with surrealistic echoes.[19]

Michael was always representational, even in the works in which he put together natural elements. Podulke did not join any group of artists that shaped a particular style. The most acclaimed solo exhibition was in 1962 at the Groninger Museum , in which Prof. dr. HLC Jaff, (then professor of art history at the University of Amsterdam and well-known interpreter of De Stijl and Piet Mondrian ) and that of Jos de Gruyter (* Aug. 28, 1899, † July 30, 1979) (museum director in Groningen from 1955 until 1963 and art critic) was opened. This exhibition then went to the Gemeent Museum Schiedam and Cultureel Centrum de Beyerd, Breda.
