The Shrinking of Treehorn is an upcoming 2023 computer-animated adventure comedy film based on children's book of the same name by Florence Parry Heide. Produced by Paramount Animation, Imagine Entertainment and Animal Logic, with Paramount Pictures distributing, the film is directed by Ron Howard in his animated directorial debut.

Premise[edit]

Edward Gorey's iconic illustrations are reimagined in this timeless, animated holiday musical adventure. New York City has never seemed so big as when its biggest family is shrunk to the size of action figures and must navigate its snow covered streets on Christmas Eve to find the cure. As the Treehorns journey past the iconic sites of New York City they will come to learn that the family that shrinks together, stays together.

On June 20, 2019, it was announced that Ron Howard will directed first animated film as Imagine Entertainment. The animation would be done by Animal Logic and distributed by Paramount Pictures under its Paramount Animation label.[1]
