The Sleep Experiment is a 2018 Irish psychological thriller film written and directed by John Farrelly, based on the The Russian Sleep Experiment. The film stars Brian Moore, Will Murphy, Rob James Capel, Steven Jess and Sam McGovern.

The film was announced in May 2018. Filming took place in Dublin, Ireland in August of 2018.

The Sleep Experiment is currently in post production as of September 2018 and is scheduled to be released in 2019.

Plot[edit]

Researchers during the cold war develop an experimental gas based stimulant that keeps you awake. Five prisoners are promised their freedom if they take part in an experiment in which they must stay awake for thirty days.

In July 2017, it was reported that Jackpot Productions had started developing The Sleep Experiment, a film based on the urban creepypasta legend, with the screenplay to be written by John Farrelly.[1]

Filming[edit]

Principal photography on the film began on August 6th, 2018, in Dublin and concluded on August 22, 2018.[1]
