Music[edit]

Obscura[edit]

Fountainhead joined technical death metal band Obscura in 2015[3] after being recommended by long-time friend Christian Münzner and recorded "Akroasis" with them, contributing writing and guitar to the album, and also contributing the 15-minute song "Weltseele" and the instrumental track "Melos". [4] He also arranged and orchestrated the string-quartet parts together with long-time friend and collaborator Matthias Alexander Preisinger. [5]

Solo Career[edit]

Fountainhead is the guitar player for The Pitts/Minnemann Project, featuring world-renowned drummer Marco Minnemann and keyboard player and long-time collaborator Jimmy Pitts. Here, he recorded the entire first album in a week, learning and recording the material, and doubling a lot of the keyboard lines on fretless guitar. He joined Amogh Symphony in 2017[6], recording the album "IV", and is the author of several books of sheet music for Defeated Sanity, Amogh Symphony, and Fountainhead. His solo releases include 'Fear is the Enemy', 'Reverse Engineering', and 'Home'. [7]

Fountainhead is co-founder of the record label 'vmbrella' [8] and also produces, mixes and masters records for other artists.
