Gaston was born and raised in France to an Irish mother from Dublin and a French father.
Club Career[edit]
Gaston has come through the academy of Bordeaux.
International Career[edit]
Gaston is eligible for Republic of Ireland national team due to his Irish mother and for France as he was born and raised in France.
Gaston told PunditArena in an interview in October 2018, “I was invited to Clairefontaine on 2 occasions on training camps in the selected group of 36 players for the French national group of u16s, but as I said, I’m now concentrating on Ireland.” [1]
Gaston received his first call up for the Ireland under 19 side in August 2018 for friendlies against Wales. He's a member of the Irish u19 squad who qualified for the country's first u19 euro appearance since 2011. The team were the first team to qualify alongside hosts Armenia, they qualified with 100% record.
