Toto is an upcoming 3D computer-animated musical comedy film directed by Alex Timbers, from a screenplay by John August, produced by the Warner Animation Group and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Development[edit]
On July 12, 2018, it was announced that Warner Animation Group will produce an animated movie about Toto, based on the children’s book Toto: The Dog-Gone Amazing Story of The Wizard of Oz, with Mark Burton adapting the book.[2] On January 14, 2020, it was announced that John August is adapting the book, Jared Stern will produce the film, and is an animated musical.[1] In October 2020, Alex Timbers was hired to direct.[3][4]
