Railway[edit]
The main railway station in Newport is by Queensway in Newport City Centre. This station has GWR services running to London Paddington, Cardiff Central, and Swansea. Crosscountry services run to Nottingham, Birmingham New Street, Derby, and Cardiff Central. Arriva Trains Wales services run to Cardiff Central, Maesteg, Manchester Piccadilly, Holyhead, and Cheltenham Spa.
The other two stations are Pye Corner, and Rogerstone. Trains from both of these station run to Ebbw Vale Town and Cardiff Central.
Buses/Coaches[edit]
The main bus operator in Newport is Newport Bus. Newport Bus run services to Monmouth, Cwmbran, Cardiff, Chepstow and Risca, as well as the city districts such as Caerleon, Gaer, and Alway. Other bus operators include Stagecoach South Wales, New Adventure Travel, First Severn Express, and coaches such as National Express. Stagecoach run services to the Valleys, such as Blackwood, Bargoed, Tredegar, Brynmawr, and Trevethin. Stagecoach also runs a gold X24 service to Blaenavon and R1 Risca. NAT Group run the X5 to Cardiff and Ringland, N2 to Brynglas, R1 Risca (Sunday and Bank Holidays) and N3 Allt-Yr-Yn. The Severn Express runs to Chepstow and Bristol.

Hackney Carriage taxi ranks can be found by: Bridge Street, Train Station, Queensway (11PM - 6AM), Upper Dock Street, and Friars Walk by Newport Centre. Hackney Carriages can be hailed at the roadside. If their roof sign is lit, they're plying for hire. Hackney Carriages are London Style or Black Minivans.
