Tribal Democracy

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Tribal Democracy is a system of governance that where tribal elders are the heads of states, or governors within a [[Confederation | Confederation Form of Government. In this case family name, clan or tribe function as a unit of government that cooperate with other tribes/ states on the based on treaty between states, provinces, or territories. Each tribe is autonomous and retain full power, but delegate a few responsibilities to the Central Government as administrative body. Central government is given limited powers; the constituent entities (tribe) retain supreme authority over all matters except those delegated to the central government.

According to the first person who introduced this name, Sem Karoba, Tribal Democracy operates without political parties as the tribes automatically become the parties. Karoba believes and shows examples that a tribe function and carry out its political activities in the same way as a political party does, therefore, for Tribal Societies there is no need for political parties. Political ideologies can be incorporated into each tribe and they can use political ideologies to campaign, but socially, they do not need political affiliation, because they already have social, cultural and blood affiliation for social organisation.

As the founder of DeMMAK Karoba states that DeMMAK fully operates with the concept of Tribal Democracy, which is the democracy that has been known and alive in all Tribal Peoples all over the world. All Elders from Koteka Tribes that form DeMMAK are equal, work in collegial management system among the tribal elders. They coordinate and cooperate to carry out organisatinal programmes. There is no single leader on top as each elder is the top leader of each clan or tribe.
