Umar Nasko

Umar Muhammed Nasko was the Gubernatorial candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State in the 2015 general elections in Nigeria.

He lost to the incumbent Abubakar Sanni Bello of the All Progressive Congress.

Nasko was born on 13th March, 1975, at Baptist Hospital, now Bowen University Teaching Hospital, Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

He is a Native of Kontagora, in Magama Local Government Area of Niger State.

Umar Nasko is the first son of Gado Nasko, a retired general and former minister of the Abuja Federal Capital Territory.

He is the founder of the Umar Nasko Foundation.
