The Unmasking Antifa Act of 2018 is a bill introduced in the House of Representatives. Under the act, anyone “wearing a mask” or in disguise who “injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person … in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege” would be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison.[1]

It was introduced by Rep. Daniel Donovan (R-NY) on June 8, 2018. Its cosponsors are Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC), and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ).

Criticism[edit]

The bill has been criticized by civil libertarians for its vague language.[2]
