Early Life[edit | edit source]
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Nikhil did his schooling from Dominic Savio High School and graduated from Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management and also did a film course from XIC, Mumbai.
Career[edit | edit source]
Nikhil Venugopalan has created and developed shows for Zee5 namely 'Zero KM's, a thriller starring Naseeruddin Shah, Karenjit Kaur, a biopic on Sunny Leone. Babbar ka tabbar starring Manu Rishi Ayesha Raza and 'Akoori', a satire starring Darshan Jariwalla and Lilette Dubey and regional films like America Mappillai (Tamil), Horn OK please and Liftman(Marathi). Nikhil was previously heading creative for ALT Balaji the OTT platform of Balaji Telefilms, with Ekta Kapoor responsible for series like 'Romil and Juggal', 'Boygiri'. Nikhil has also written and directed multiple ad films for brands like BigFM, Teach for India, Intex, Videocon, Relispray, Electrolux and more. Nikhil has won various awards for his work.
