Víctor Afrânio Asconavieta da Silva
Víctor Afrânio Asconavieta da Silva (born 1960) is an area seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). He has also held important governmental positions in Brazil including being the president of the municipal pensions services for Pelotas. At various times Da Silva has also held other positions in the LDS Church including bishop and president of the Pelotas Brazil Stake and later the Pelotas Brazil Stake. He served from 2005 to 2008 as president of the LDS Church's Brazil Fortaleza Mission. During this time he saw the baptism of 15,000 individuals and the creation of 7 plus stakes in the Fortaleza mission area.[citation needed]
