Vance E. Salter

Vance E. Salter (born 1948)[1] is an American lawyer and judge on the Florida Third District Court of Appeal.[2][3][4]

Background[edit]

He was born in Pasadena, California in 1948. He attended Brown University and the University of Virginia School of Law.

He started working as an associate with the Miami firm of Steel Hector & Davis. He eventually became a partner there in 1981. From 1987 to 2000, he was a commercial litigation partner with the firm of Coll Davidson Carter Smith Salter & Barkett. He worked for the Miami office of Hunton & Williams in 2000 until his appointment to the Third District Court of Appeals.

Judicial Service[edit]

He was appointed by Governor Charlie Crist to the Third District Court of Appeal in 2007.
