From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Vern (b. 1957) and Carrie (b. 1964) Berg are an American husband-and-wife team of authors/researchers, and collector's of sorts. Two of their 3 published works were rated best release on Amazon books.

Bio: Vern and Carrie (Crandall) Berg live in (Spokane, WA) as my husband and wife. A research quest began in 1983 after Ed let the cat out of the bag, revealing two BIRCHWOOD FARM COMPANY secret stock certificates. The BIRCHWOOD FARM GROVE book is the first in depth study into the BIRCHWOOD FARM COMPANY (BFC), an untold economic history, w/mining and hotel partners. The (BFC) sat directly across the road from the HUDSON BAY COMPANY (HBC) nearby the James "Peavine Jimmy" Walton threshing barn, now a Museum and Interpretive Center (Nine Mile Falls, WA). Contents include the Spokane Stock Exchange, the Spokane Club, Hotel Spokane Silver Grill. Includes bibliography reference-index.

This documented book is validated by our own personal “scripophilist” stockpile. Of these; “two stocks the last of their kind” fit like a jigsaw puzzle.” We begin by solving puzzles to complete a clear picture, with torn apart scattered bits and pieces of information. Seeking answers to our questions; we embark on a treasure hunt scavenging for clues replete with documents for “historical context.” A ‘treasury” amassed after compiling tangible objects, newspaper excerpts, first-hand accounts, old magazines, mining certificates, photos, postcards, antique books, stocks, paper relics, and so on.
