Videoclip Awards is an annually award and recognizement to the music video industry and its members, presented by Music Video Society. Founded in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Since 2016, every year aproximatly 20 statuettes are grants to the best creators and technitians of latin videoclip industry.

The first ceremony of Videoclip Awards was celebrated at Santo Domingo with participation of producers, directors and artist, including Juan Magan, Eddy Herrera, Alex Matos and others.

History[edit]

Videoclip Awards in the beggining was created for the dominican video clip producers with only one international category "Best International Video", during the second edition the award included the latin artists as Maluma, Prince Royce, Farruko and others. The third edition of the award included american artists as Cardi B. In the first year was created the category Merit Award to the Directors trayectory.

The Throphy[edit]

Designed in 2016 by Roddy Pérez, it is the fusion of a plant, the symbol of play and a musical note. For the past three years, 73 statuettes have been granted to the most prominents directors of music videos in Dominican Republic and Latin America.
