The Vietnamese Golf Alliance of Southern California ( VGA of SoCal) was created in 1997 as the only Vietnamese golf club of the Southern California region. This organization was first established by a group of friends who wanted to venture out and interact with current and potential members of the Vietnamese-American communities across Southern California (i.e., Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Los Angeles counties). Not only is this organization dedicated to individuals who shared a passion for golf, but also giving back to the local and international communities through charities and sponsorships. Over the years, VGA of SoCal has participated in challenging courses and tournaments for their members and guests, with the California Cup as the highlight of the sessions. Its main goal is to provide a friendly and opening environment for everyone regardless of age, gender, talent, or race.
