Vigilante Coffee
Vigilante Coffee is a Washington DC based specialty coffee roaster, founded in 2012.[1] After working the Washington DC pop-up scene[2], Vigilante opened its first permanent cafe on July 2014 in a former Model T Ford showroom and garage in Hyattsville, Maryland.[3]
Known for working directly with farmers to source specialty coffee, the company has gained local success[4] and been highlighted by national publications for its coffee.[5] In 2017, Vigilante Coffee placed 5th overall in the Roaster category at the US Coffee Championship.[6]
The company expanded to College Park, Maryland, in 2018, opening a new cafe adjacent to the University of Maryland.
