Carl Vilhelm John Blomgren (July 17, 1991) is a Swedish actor and musician.
Biography[edit]
Vilhelm was born and raised in Gothenburg. In 2003, he debuted his first acting role at the Roman Theater as the Prince of Wales in William Shakespeare's Richard III. He participated in the Little Melody Festival in the next year with My Green Island, where he came in third place. He studied the aesthetic program with a focus on music at Elfrida Andrée High School in Visby 2007–2010. He then had a contract with Länsteatern on Gotland before he was accepted in 2013 at the University of Stage and Music at the University of Gothenburg. He did his internship at Helsingborg City Theater and graduated in 2016. Later, he has been active at, among others, the Gothenburg Opera and Kulturhuset Stadsteatern.[1][2]
He made his TV debut in 2019 in Jonas Gardell's The days when the flowers bloom. That same year, he starred in Lukas Moodyson's comedy series Gösta on HBO Nordic, and made his international debut in Ari Aster's feature film Midsommar where he played the role of Harga cultist Pelle.
He is a singer and guitarist in the children's band Karl-Petters Orkester, which was nominated for best children's music at the Manifesto Gala 2015. He can also play the violin, mandolin, guitar and the piano.
He is cohabiting with the actress Linda Åslund, with whom he has a daughter
