From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Vimert: Vimert (visual information model engine real-time) is a virtual reality simulation software designed for contracting, project management and the construction industry in general. The main purpose of the software is to navigate, collaborate, and exchange opinions and information.

Overview: Vimert uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) in combination with game-engine technology, in order to provide a realistic view of a BIM model along with its properties. Vimert uses Autodesk Revit plug-in to export models with elements’ dimensions and properties.

Compatibility: Vimert is compatible with Microsoft Windows operating system, but the installation of Microsoft .Net Framework 4.5 or higher is essential to run the software.

'Main Features:'

Model Walk-through: The software uses game-engine technology to perform a walk-through using real-time processing, the options are to navigate in a gravity and non-gravity modes, as well as controlling motion speed.

Project’s inquiry: Models, exported from Autodesk Revit, contain the same elements’ information and properties from Revit, adding information to models in Vimert is also possible.

Communication: The project’s owners, contractors, consultants, and managers can be linked through a server, and collaborate in exchanging messages and media files, authorizing construction phases, and fill up built-in contracting forms and documents, pricing lists and bills of quantities.

Record Modeling: The software renders videos of model walk-through and exports it in .avi file format.

Interface: The Vimert interface contains a toolbar for walkthrough, a toolbar for element visibility and recording, and a slightly large property box, containing information about bills of quantities, communication, project information, and model.
