Vinayak Dalmia (born 17 February 1984) is an Indian Businessman[1]and Columnist[2] who currently serves as Media Spokesperson of the[3] Indian National Congress.[4]
Family & Early Life
Vinayak was born in Delhi to one of India's most prominent families (Dalmia). Vinayak's grandfather was Late Shri RK Dalmia - Founder of the Dalmia Group and one of the illustrious architects of India's industrial revolution.
Vinayak's grandmother Late Shrimati Dineshnandini Dalmia was a renowned Hindi author and poet. For her contribution to Hindi Literature she was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India in 2006 - India's 3rd highest civilian honor.[5]
Education
Vinayak studied Economics at University of Cambridge[6] and UC Berkeley. He also studied LLB Law from the University of London. In 2018, the University of Oxford awarded him a Visiting Research Fellowship.[7]
Politics
Vinayak currently serves as Media Spokesperson for the Indian National Congress.
