Vinnie Potestivo
Vinnie Potestivo is the founding owner of VPE, a digital agency that specializes in amplifying the voice of entrepreneur-lead businesses through the use of dynamic content. He has been quoted.[1] in major print publications[2] as well as industry periodicals[3]
He has served as Casting Director[4] and Creative Executive[5] on well-known television programs such as MTV's The Tom Green Show, Total Request Live, Punk’d, The Osbournes, 8th & Ocean, Laguna Beach, The Hills, The Ashlee Simpson Show, House of Style, Wild ‘n Out, Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, The Millionaire Matchmaker, Pregnant In Heels, Chef Roblé & Co., Project Runway and Newlyweds: The First Year as well as E!’s House of DVF and most recently FYI’s A Question of Love.
He has been credited with launching the careers of many notable stars such as Mandy Moore, Nick Cannon, Molly Sims, Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, Benji Madden & Joel Madden (Good Charlotte), Brian McFayden, Christina Milian, Vanessa Lachey, Kelly Osbourne & Jack Osbourne, Ashlee Simpson, Tyrese Gibson, LaLa, Quddus, DJ Clue, Gideon Yago, Damien Fahey and Danielle Staub from The Real Housewives of New Jersey[6]. In 2001, he cast Beyonce Knowles in her first major lead role in a film, MTV's Carmen: A Hip Hopera.
Prior to VPE, Potestivo ran MTV’s East Coast Series & Talent Development Department under the direction of its Executive Vice President, Rod Aissa. For nearly a decade Potestivo created and developed original talent-driven programming in addition to discovering and securing talent for specials such as the Video Music Awards, Spring Break and New Year’s Eve Live programming.
Born and raised in Staten Island[7], he was one of the original 30 Under 30 Most Influential Creative Staten Islanders[8]. Potestivo is a graduate of Wagner College and is a licensed Wedding Officiant in New York City, NY and Boston, MA.
