Vumile Msweli (born 14 May 1986) is a South African businesswoman, career coach and speaker. She currently serves as the CEO of Hesed Consulting.[1][2][3][4]

Early life and education[edit]

Vumile Msweli was born in King Edward VIII Hospital in Durban KwaZulu-Natal. She completed her primary and secondary education at Holy Family College in Durban; She went on to St. Mary's Diocesan School for Girls, Pretoria where she completed high school.[4] She proceeded to University of Pretoria where she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting Sciences. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Planning Honours degree, an Executive Education certification from New York University Stern Business School and University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science, as well as an MBA from the University of London.[3]

Career[edit]

Msweli is a career coach[2] with almost a decade of experience in the financial services industry and several years of experience in the telecommunications industry. She has worked for reputable, world-class financial institutions such as Investec, Barclays, Nedbank, First National Bank and Vodafone[5]. Vumile is specialized in strategy and operational management, and experienced in compliance, risk management, operational management; business development, global service management, strategic development and execution as well as business development. Throughout her career she has been fortunate to work in countries such as, the United Kingdom, Democratic Republic of Congo, Singapore, Ghana, Germany, Kenya and Zambia; impressively, at the age of 31 she had been to over 50 countries

In 2012, Msweli founded Hesed Consulting ( Pty) Ltd a pan-African coaching and consulting firm Hesed Consulting which has presence in Nigeria, Rwanda, Botswana, South Africa and affiliates in Namibia and Uganda. She also founded Vumi and Veuve mentorship circles, a collaboration with Veuve Clicquot to drive dialogue with women across South Africa[6]. She sat on the board of Diabetes South Africa and in 2019 She took residency as the expert in residence at the Africa Leadership University in Kigali, Rwanda.
