Wait for It..! is a children's game show produced by CBBC Scotland Productions. It is presented by Pete Firman with the voice of Tim Dann. It ran from 26 August 2009 until 7 October 2009.

The Main Rules

Four contestants from the same location enter a large room called the Intergalactic Time Machine and attempt to answer clues given by Tim (The Total Intelligence Machine). The player with the lowest score at the end of each round will be dropped into an orange goo portal, which sometimes makes a 'blobbing' sound effect (or sometimes a 'burping' sound effect as well as a 'blobbing' effect).

Round 1

This is the main round of Wait for It..!. Pete (the host) will announce a category. There will be ten questions full of clues announced by Tim. It takes fifteen seconds for Tim to read out the clues. Unlike counting down, the clock counts up in this game. The clock is shown on a wide, computerised screen on the studio walls, which is installed all over the whole studio in one piece. The clock is also shown on a red rocket blasting off on the bottom left corner of television screens for the viewers at home to see. The contestants have to buzz in as long as possible (without having the other contestant(s) to buzz in or failing to buzz in within fifteen seconds!) If the contestant who buzzed in (therefore stops the clock as soon as he/she buzzes in) gets the correct answer to the clues given, they will earn points according to how many seconds he/she took to buzz in. For example, if the contestant buzzes in and stops the clock at 10 seconds and gets the right answer, he/she earns ten points. However, if he/she gets it wrong, the other players would score the number of seconds stopped on the clock. (e.g. ten seconds.) The scores are kept a secret and are NEVER announced during the game.

After ten questions, all four contestants enter the drop zone ahead of them. Pete will announce who is going through to the next round and who has the lowest score therefore about to fall into the goo portal. After the contestant has fallen into the goo portal, they are off the show. In addition, a replay will be shown of the contestant falling into the goo portal.

Round 2

This round is called 'Watch & Wait'. There are slight rule changes compared to the 'Wait For It' Round (Round 1).

Again, there are ten questions full of clues. There will be fifteen seconds on the clock without Tim reading the clues. The contestants can still buzz in. When a contestant buzzes in, the clock stops. The contestant that buzzed in gets a chance to answer the question announced by Tim alone. The other contestants cannot answer the question unless the contestant who buzzed in gets it wrong. The time the contestant gets to think of the answer is the number of seconds he/she buzzed in. For example, if the contestant buzzed in at 10 seconds, then he/she has ten seconds to answer the clues with 10 seconds of clues being announced by Tim. The contestant cannot answer the question unless the time expires. If he/she answers the question correctly, he/she earns the points according to how many seconds the clock stopped at. (Like in Round 1.) However, if he/she gets it wrong, he/she will be frozen out for the rest of the question and the question will be offered to the rest of the players. Tim will read the rest of the clues. Whoever buzzes in and gets it right at this point will earn the points the clock stopped at when the contestant who got it wrong buzzed in.

Round 3

This is the final round before the one-player-only round, the 'Wait A Minute' Round (Round 4). Round 3 is titled 'Wait & See'.

The player (in the first position?) will answer the question announced by Tim. The other person will do the first thing, which is predicting the time. The time predictor can predict how long he/she thinks their opponent can answer. There are three options to predict from - 0–5 seconds, 6–10 seconds and 11–15 seconds. The time is predicted by (pressing a button on a computer/tapping it onto a touch screen?) The predicted time is shown on the computerised screen. The player who has to answer the question is not permitted to turn around to see the predicted time.

The contestant answering the question has fifteen seconds to answer. The idea is to avoid answering inside the predicted time. If this happens (or if the time expires) the contestant who predicted the time gets one point. The contestant answering the question will earn a point should he/she get it right. The contestants then switch turns.

It is the best of five, so whoever gets three correct answers will proceed to the final round, 'Wait A Minute'. Whoever lost will be forced to enter the drop zone and enter the goo portal.

Round 4

This is the final round, which is titled, 'Wait a Minute'. The winning contestant will enter just near the end off the goo portal (specifically, on a red spot) next to Pete (the host) who then crosses the goo portal himself (to show how its done).

This is the only round with a time limit of 60 seconds. All of the clued questions are general knowledge. the contestant will face five steps, which are positioned in the centre of the entire goo portal. This is the only round were the contestant is barefoot (you knew this because the camera sometimes had shots by their bare feet) - in all others they wear socks.

The clued questions will be announced by Tim. The contestant must answer five questions in 41–60 seconds, otherwise fallen into the goo portal bare feet first (Which usually happened). If the contestant succeeds, then he/she will be awarded a prize, which comes out of a ''Wait For It..! rocket. A star prize will be awarded if the contestant succeeds between 40–59 seconds.
