Westana Hermawan Wiraatmadja[edit]

Westana Hermawan Wiraatmadja [1] is a senior member of the engineering and business communities in Indonesia. After obtaining his Industrial Engineering degree in the United States, he worked with the Indonesian representative of Caterpillar Solar Turbines for 18 years, with positions in sales, after-sales service, and ultimately as Director of Power System utilities. In these roles he was responsible for commissioning a number of nationally prominent energy sector infrastructure projects. In 2006, he established a successful compressed natural gas (CNG) [2] distribution business, one of the first in Indonesia, and in 2013, together with his partners acquired a majority stake in an engineering company with 120 engineers. Recently he is an international active speaker [3] in domestic and international conferences in LNG, Power, and Energy Sector.

Business Experience[edit]

PT Energi Nusantara Merah Putih[4] also known as ENMP from 2015–Present as Founding Shareholder and President Director based in Jakarta.

ENMP together with its subsidiaries Pasifik Agra Energi[5] and Power Merah Putih Energi[6] is developing a liquid natural gas (LNG)[7] receiving and regasification terminal with expected capacity of approximately 700,000 tons per annum and an associated 600 MW combined cycle power plant, which will supply electricity to smelters in Bantaeng Industrial Park, South Sulawesi. Mr. Wiraatmadja is the founding shareholder and driving force behind the development of the project. He holds the position of President Director in the subsidiaries as well as the parent company.

PT Dinamika Daya Persada from 2006–Present as Founding Shareholder and Commissioner based in Jakarta. While working at Indoturbine[8], Mr. Wiraatmadja co-founded Dinamika Daya Persada. The company was a pioneer in the CNG transportation and distribution business in Indonesia, and now manages over 60 CNG transportation modules across Indonesia.

PT Indocarbon Nusantara from 2013-2015 as President Director PT Indocarbon Nusantara provides specialized services in sectors such as: oil, gas and geothermal. Indocarbon was founded by experts in the field of Environmental Management and Engineering. Together with his partners, Indocarbon Nusantara provides services and professional consultancy in mining, oil and gas sector.

PT Dwi Sura Prima from 2013-2015 as Shareholder and Director based in Jakarta. Together with his partners in Dwi Sura Prima, Mr. Wiraatmadja acquired PT Erranersi Konstruksindo, an engineering company with 120 engineers. As Executive Director, he then secured for Dwi Sura Prima a US$24 million contract to install automation equipment in two major fuel depots in Central Java, and was intensively involved in engineering, financing, structuring and project management for the project. Later, the engineering company was subsequently sold to a Japanese investor.

PT Indoturbine from 1997-2015 with various positions including Director of Power System Utilities based in Jakarta. Indoturbine is the Indonesian distributor for Solar Turbines Incorporated, a subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc. Indonesia has the largest population of Solar Turbines of any country in the world, outside of North America. Mr. Wiraatmadja joined Indoturbine in 1997 as a sales engineer, and in 2004 became the youngest person ever appointed to its Board of Directors. He worked in sales, after-sales service, project management, complex projects and project commissioning, and from 2005-2015 served as Director of Power System Utilities.

Kenworth Truck Company[9] from 1996-1997 as Industrial Engineer based in Renton, Washington. In his first position post-graduation, Mr. Wiraatmadja was responsible for developing efficient manufacturing processes and for quality assurance and quality control.
