Whiskey Sour is a 2022 American independent drama film written and directed by Christopher Selby. Whiskey Sour follows two men, Cal Baker (Sean Dillingham), a creative consultant in Phoenix, Arizona, and Joe Dreyfuss (Richard O. Ryan), a regional sales rep from Buffalo, New York, who used to work together, but haven't seen each other in years until Joe shows up in Phoenix on Christmas Eve. The two men spend the evening together reconnecting, as the secrets of the past begin to come to the surface.

Production[edit]

Whiskey Sour began production in August on 2020, shooting the entire film in just eight days. The film was shot entirely in and around Phoenix, Arizona, including scenes at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.

The original score was composed by Amsi Hernandez.

Release[edit]

Whiskey Sour premiered at the Phoenix Film Festival[2] on April 4, 2022.

It released streaming on Amazon Prime Video[3] on April 11, 2022

Reception[edit]

Whiskey Sour was reviewed by online film review publication Film Threat[4] on May 3, 2022. Reviewer Andrew Stover gave the film a positive review, finding it to be "self-contained and purposefully staid, relying on the uninhibited conversation between two middle-aged friends as its driving force."

The film currently holds an 8.9/10 rating on IMDb[5]
