Who’s Bluffing? ® is a British shedding-type card game that is played with a specially printed deck. The game's general principles put it into the Cheater family of card games. The game was originally developed in 2016 at the Chelsea Football Club Foundation.

Official rules

The aim of Who’s Bluffing? ® is to be the first player to get rid of all of his or her cards.

The classic deck consists of 55 cards, of which there are 5 Ruler Cards and 50 Playing Cards.

To start a round, five cards are dealt to each player, with the Ruler Card face up to determine the region played in the first round and the other cards set aside to begin the discard pile.

Each player should announce and discard face down a city or town from the region the Ruler Card is from (e.g. if Ruler Card is England, the player should announce and discard an English city or town like Liverpool) and place it into the Discard Pile next to Ruler Card.

If the player doesn’t have a matching Playing Card from the Ruler Card country he can either pick a card from the draw pile or bluff the other players to get rid of your cards rapidly (e.g. you could play Paris but announce Liverpool).

Play proceeds clockwise around the table.

Variations

When a player is out of cards, the other players get points for cards left in their hands as follows: 30 points for the matching Playing Cards and 15 for all other cards. The player with the lowest score after playing five rounds wins!
