Damein Edwynn Banks (born March 19, 1986), better known by his stage name Whoisyungraw, is an American rapper, singer, song writer and entrepreneur.He is currently signed to Teamraw music.His debut studio album/EP, WHOISYUNGRAW , released in june 2018 with a follow up project titled "DREAM KILERS" released july 2018. Prior to whoisyungrawep, whoisyungraw also released numerous mixtapes including “All Gold America” “HOMEWORK” and “DO COOL SHIT”.

EARLY LIFE:

WhoIsYungRaw was born Damein Banks on March 19, 1986. He and his family relocated to Las Vegas from Texas soon after his 7th birth. Yung had an often tumultuous upbringing and was arrested for the first time in 2000 at the age of 15 for position of “WEED” on school campus.When he was 17, he dropped out of high school and briefly attended adult education.Whoisyungraw is of African-American and Japan descent.

Artistry

Whoisyungraw is known primarily for his “truthful anthems" that blend often autobiographical lyrics with refined hiphop/trap beats.Whoisyungraw lyrics often deal with subjects like depression, poverty, and 3rd person point of view. He has listed numerous artists among his influences including Nas, Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, Tupac Shakur, young jeezy, and others.
