He has been the Member of Youth Parliament for the Wakefield East constituency since 2019, and a youth councillor since 2017.[1] He was originally elected by young people in Wakefield to improve mental health and transport provisions in the area,[2] but has more recently taken up an interest in education reform, environmental changes and the eradication of poverty.[3]
As well as his role as a member of youth parliament, he also sits on the West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commisioner's Youth Advisory Group.[4][5]
On his blog he has also publicised his membership of the Fabian Society, Labour Party and Wakefield Just Transition forum.[6]
