Wilson López López
Wilson López López is PhD (thesis Summa Cum Laude and extraordinary award) in Basic and Social Psychology from the University of Santiago de Compostela, with a distinguished thesis entitled “Mass Media, Conflict and Peace: Psychosocial Framing of Conflict and Peace in Colombia”. Associate Professor of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogota, Colombia], Editor of Universitas Psychologica, Leader of the “Social Links and Peace Cultures” Research Group, member of the “Learning & Information Society” Research Group at the same University. Winner of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Biennial Prize of Research to the best work in the editions 2015 and 2017 and National prize of psychology that grants the Colombian School of Psychology 2017. According to the ranking of Colombian researchers performed by Webometrics, he occupies the 85th place in all the areas of knowledge. With two lines of research and publication on the one hand social psychology (social conflicts and peace) and on the other hand scientific communication and Scientometrics, has published more than 100 articles in journals included in the Web of Science and SCOPUS, besides book chapters. He has been an opinion columnist in mass media of his country as the week magazine and the newspaper the viewer. Board of Advisors member of the Reconciliation Barometer of the Alliance for Reconciliation Program. As a researcher, he has carried out various studies on mass media and conflict, and associated topics such as forgiveness, legal issues and even drugs. He serves as an Advisor on International Relations and Publications for the Colombian College of Psychologists (Colpsic). He founded and is the Permanent Secretary for Latin America of the Iberoamerican Federation of Psychology Associations (FIAP). President of ABA Colombia and ABAI Full Member; President- Elect Political Psychology Division International Association of Applied Psychology; Member of the International Advisory Committee of the Journal Network of Spain, Latin America and Portugal (Redalyc). Co-coordinator of the Journal Editors Workgroup of the Interamerican Association of Psychology (SIP). Co-director of the International Scientific Psychology Network; Invited professor in several Universities in Iberoamerica; member of scientific and editorial committees of over 20 Iberoamerican journals. He writes regularly for newspapers and magazines.
