Wilson Louis[1] is an Indian Film Writer and Director. He directed "Kaalo" , a daylight creature horror film, "Ho Sakta Hai".[2] , a film on Black Magic. He also directed a Short Film "Holding Back" produced by his production Short web Productions. He also works as a Visual Effects Director, with quite a few feature films to his credit like "Mangal Pandey: The Rising", "Koi Mil Gaya","Kaho Na Pyar Hai" etc.

Early years[edit]

Wilson Louis was born in Pune Maharashtra. He did B.Sc. in Physics from Pune University. He later did his Masters in Communication studies,Film and TV direction from Pune University. He later moved to Mumbai to pursue his career in Film Industry.

Mainstream Work[edit]

Wilson Louis' latest short film "Holding Back" stars Seema Biswas. Based on a true story, it won national and international awards.[citation needed][3][4]

His first feature film was “Ho Sakta Hai” in 2006,a film that dwells into the inner fears of people who believe and disbelieve in black magic, a film which was well appreciated by critics[5] , he then directed “Kaalo”, the desert witch, creature based live-action day based horror. The film won two international awards in South African horror festival for best film and best cinematography.[6]

He is also a visual effects Director and headed visual effects production houses like Maya entertainment and CMM studios.[7]

TV Commercials[edit]

Wilson has also produced and directed commercials like Bangur (elephant, Jail and Bulk) cement commercials and Shri ultra cement commercials.[10]

He has also held designations in programming for channels and production houses, he has directed film-based programs, talk shows, fiction and non- fiction programs for television .He also directs episodic paranormal thrillers for Zee “Fear files”, "Dhanaav Hunters" for Epic channel and “Darr Sabko Lagta Hai” for & TV.[11]
