Wve Labs is a Los Angeles based app development and technology company, founded in 2016. It develops mobile, web and wearable apps for start-ups and fortune 500 companies. They specialize in iOS, Android, IoT and cloud solutions.

History[edit]

Wve Labs launched in 2015 by co-founders Dave Shah (CEO) and Ankit Purhoit (CTO) as a mobile app development company geared towards young entrepreneurs and early stage start ups. It soon pivoted when Shah and Purhiot were contracted to develop a game-changing project for Sony.[1]

Soon after in early 2016, they grew their team from 5 employees to 80 full time staff, opening offices in Orange County, Los Angeles, India, London, and New York.[2]

In late 2016 Wve Labs, under the leadership of Dave Shah, founded an investment arm called Wve Ventures. Wve Ventures invests in start-ups pre-seed, and is partnered with venture capitalist firms.[3]

In June 2017, Clutch.com ranked Wve Labs as a top Los Angeles app development company.[4] [5]

Today, Wve Labs has just over 100 employees across 4 countries and has completed 40 apps.[6] Their Inc. verified profile indicates they bring in $10 million of revenue annually. [7]

Company Culture[edit]

Wve Labs has made many statements regarding their core value of company culture. A Forbes article published in September 2017, explained how through strong culture, Wve Labs was able to expand rapidly while still adhering to their core mission of empowering young entrepreneurs and fortune 500 companies to make their visions a reality through fast and affordable development.[8] During that same month, Wve Labs was featured as a member of the Forbes Technology council stating that "cultural fitness" is what they look for most when hiring new team members. [9]
