The Young Socialist Movement (YSM) or simply Young Socialists is a socialist youth organisation based in Maryland, USA.
The YSM was founded in 2019 as a school club in Centennial High School in Ellicott City, Maryland. The group partnered with the Sunrise Movement and led the school's climate strike in December 2019. The group has expressed its support for Senator Bernie Sanders for the 2020 United States Presidential election.
The group is split into local chapters that answer to national leadership, with chapters currently existing at Mount Hebron High School and Centennial High School. Chapters can elect their own leadership. All chapters send one delegate to the annual YSM Congress of Baltimore to elect national leadership.
