On November 2, 2015, Jerry Bruckheimer and Paramount Pictures hired Jeff Nathanson to adapt Young Woman and The Sea, the biography of swimmer Gertrude Ederle, with Nathanson producing with Bruckheimer.[1] There have been no further developments as of May 2020.
Casting[edit]
On September 11, 2018, Lily James was casted as Ederle.[1]
