Aaron Burr, Sir (Song)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Aaron Burr, Sir is the second song to be performed in the Hamilton (musical), and is considered a song that opens the setting. During the song, young Alexander Hamilton is introduced to Aaron Burr, Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, John Laurens, and Hercules Mulligan. The song takes place in 1776 and progresses over the course of one night at a pub. Alexander Hamilton explains his ideas and thoughts about the revolution during the song, but Aaron Burr convinces him to "Talk less, smile more." (Aaron Burr, sir. 2015.) The focus of the song is on the Revolutionary War and fate of Alexander, should he continue to blurt his beliefs.
