However, we can delete pages, and user pages too. Please folow the steps described in the "How to delete an article?" question, in the "Content deletion" part of the FAQ, right above. ☝

We can't send any lost paswords..

You were informed when creating an account that you had to enter a valid email address.

Search Engine Optimization

Be sure your article :

  • Folows the steps listed here
  • Is long enough (more than 100 words)
  • You can bold keyword
    • Don't stuff too many keywords, your article should remain clearly readable by visitors
    • Put this keywords in "alt" tag or pictures description.
  • Contains links from other articles (max 5) related to the same topic. The anchor of the link should contain the key words. The article could be from Everybodywiki or any other website. If the links are from outside websites they should not be in "nofollow" for a better result.
    • Don't put too many links at the same time and not from links farm.
    • Add existing relevant categories and portal on Everybodywiki and links to pages of the same categories will be displayed in the future.
  • Is updated with relevant information when needed.
  • Is unique. Don't create duplicate of your article, anyway search engine will display only one article on results page. A good position is better than 2 bad positions.

Need help from Everybodywiki team to improve the position of your article ? Add it on Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Add existing themes using the Portal template;

Example in wikicode : {{Portal | Theme1 | Theme2 | Theme3}} You can specify from 1 to 5 themes.

If your site or page is new, it might not be in Google's index because they haven't had a chance to crawl or index it yet. It takes some time after you post a new page before they crawl it, and more time after that to index it.

See the question "How do I know if my article has been indexed by Google?" right under to know if your article has been indexed 👇

You must write the URL of your article in the Google search bar with the mention "site:" before.

Exemple : site:en.everybodywiki.com/MY_PAGE

If it has not

Please send us the link to your page, and we will ask Google to do so.

EverybodyWiki

We do not have any other informations than what’s written on EverybodyWiki pages. Remember that everybodywiki does not write any articles unless specified.

On other applications like Microsoft Bing Rechercher, you can still find information about deleted pages.

If you want it removed, please contact the concerned application. We can't do much about it.

Go in Preferences > Gadgets > Appearance and untick the betterUX gadget.

EverybodyWiki uses a bot to correct pages.

If you don't want it to rewrite your page, insert Template:NobotCorrection in your page in WikiCode.

Maybe because WikiMasterBot2 is still reading a Wikipedia Draft.

See the question "Why did WikiMasterBot2 edit a page I already edited myself?" right under for mor informations 👇

Maybe because a page with the same name is currently in the "Articles for deletion" category or on the "Draft:" namespace on Wikipedia. In this case, the article has been automatically overwritten by WikiMasterBot2.

WikiMasterBot2 could make some minor changes periodically like replacing some text.

How can I prevent this ?[edit]

Add the template {{nobots}} at the bottom of the page. This will prevent the bot to edit your page.

See the help page on how to add a template.

See the user WikiMasterBot2 page.

See the Bugs and Features form.

It is useless to submit the same ticket multiple times.

Please check the Bugs and Features list before opening a new ticket

Here is what you can do to help the project :

  • Translate pages
  • Fix and report Technical_issues, Suggest features
  • Patrol newly created pages / uploaded files to :
    • Add Prevention Templates {{Fake news}} / {{Db-hoax}}
    • Notify (administrators) bad content so they can :
      • Add Prevention Templates {{Fake news}} / {{Db-hoax}} on protected pages
      • Delete bad content articles or Report it
    • Undo bad changes (troll, bad content, whitewashed good content pages...)
    • Giving tips to page builders in the talk page
    • Make minor changes to adjust :
      • Spelling mistakes
      • File problems
      • Infobox issues
      • Too big/small images
  • Do some search engine optimization for some articles/expression..
  • Clean new pages and improve existing ones.

Everything you do here will stay in the EverybodyWiki history. You could use that later if you want to try to join the team.

We don't look for it for now.

But if you want to help th project, you can see the question "How can I help the EverybodyWiki project?" right above ☝

Everything you do here will stay in the EverybodyWiki history. You could use that later if you want to try to join the team.

Yes, from April 24 2020, WikiMasterBot2 is removing duplicates with Wikipedia, replacing all the content by the template {{Kept in Wikipedia}} if it finds the same page on Wikipedia.

It will only delete pages that WikiMasterBot2 or WikiMasterBot has edited and that are still on Wikipedia (not as redirect or still marked for deletion).

If you don't want a page you have copied from Wikipedia to be deleted, add the template {{nobots}} at the bottom of the page. This will prevent the bot to edit your page.

If the content of a page was already replaced by {{Kept in WIkipedia}}, feel free to revert WIkiMasterBot2 edits and add the template {{nobots}} at the bottom of the page.

Your page will be deleted and your account will be parmanently banned.
