The Agrinio International Film Festival: Leda's Monologues (English: Agrinio International Film Festival: Leda's Monologues) is a film festival, held in the city of Agrinio located in western Greece. The festival focuses on independent cinema from all around the world. Its name derives from the mythical Queen Leda who was born in ancient Aetolia.
History[edit]
The festival started back in 2021.[1] Founder of the festival is film director George Louridas. The festival is run by his film company named Dead Company[2]

The festival features competitive sections where films are judged by a panel of industry professionals.[3] The competition section includes a variety of categories: "Best Short Film", "Best International Monologue", "Best Monologue from Agrinio", "Best Original Soundtrack" and "Best Script".
- Special Screenings and Retrospectives:
The festival often includes special screenings of significant films from renowned filmmakers, paying tribute to their contributions to the art of cinema.[4] The festival also welcomes feministic[5] and other works that help illuminate important social issues.
Past winners[edit]
- Special Jury Award were given to directors Sophie Blondy, Samuel Tressler IV and Hervé Cohen.
- Award for "Best Short Film" was given to Jordi Calvet for his film "Takbir."[6][7]
