Agrobank is a state joint-stock commercial bank of Uzbekistan founded in 1988. The main focus of the bank is on the agrarian sector of the economy.

Agrobank has its institutions in all regions of our country, 258 through the Republic of Karakalpakstan and 12 regional offices, 170 district (city) branches, 145 banking service centers, 371 bank cash desks, 289 international money transfer branches, 215 currency exchange branches. It has been providing high-quality modern banking services to more than a thousand legal entities and more than 2.4 million individuals.
During its activity, Agrobank focused on financing the agrarian sector of the economy, attracting free money of the population to the bank's money circulation, increasing the number of branches, services and clients, fulfilling the main parameters of the bank's business plan and budget.

Agrobank's international operations are carried out through representative accounts in 23 banks abroad and within the Republic.
Also, Agrobank SWIFT is a member of the global interbank financial telecommunications community.
Agrobank is an equal member of the Asia Pacific Agricultural Credit Association (APRAKA) and the International Confederation of Agricultural Credit (KIKA). In June 2010, the 17th meeting of the General Assembly and the 58th meeting of the executive committee of the Asia-Pacific Region Rural and Agricultural Credit Association were held in Tashkent with the participation of Agrobank. As part of these activities, a conference on credit risk management in agricultural lending was held. According to the decision of the General Assembly, Agrobank was entrusted with the task of chairing APRAKA during 2010–2012.[1]

- 1988 - The bank was established on January 1, 1988, under the name of UZSSR Agroprombank as a division of the USSR Agroprombank on the basis of the State Bank of the UZSSR and with 155 branches in the republic.
- 1990 - based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the USSR No. 703 dated 18.07.1990, a decision was made to establish a new Uzbek joint-stock commercial bank "Uzagroprombank" as an independent closed joint-stock company in the event that Agroprombank was separated from the USSR system.
- 1993 - for the first time in the history of the country, the joint bank "UT Bank - Uzbekistan - Turkey" was established by "Uzagroprombank" together with "Ziroat Bank" of Turkey.
- 1994 - "Uzagroprombank" was the first to issue shares of 100 million soums with a nominal value of 1000 soums.
- 1995 - the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 294 of July 27, 1995 established a new open joint-stock commercial bank "Agrobank" on the basis of the closed joint-stock commercial bank "Uzagroprombank".
- 1997 - "Pakhta-Bank" SWIFT OATB was accepted into the membership of the world interbank financial telecommunications community.
- 1998 - OATB "Cotton Bank" became a member of Asia-Pacific Agricultural Credit Association (APRAKA).
- 1999 - Pakhta Bank became an equal member of the International Confederation of Agricultural Credit (KIKA).
- 2000 - the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development signed an agreement to attract a credit line.
- 2001 - the first plastic card of "Pakhta Bank" was introduced.
- 2001 - the credit line of Eximbank and the People's Republic of China was opened.
- 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009 - according to the opinion of British newspaper "FT Business Financial Times" and "The Banker" magazine, the bank was recognized as "Bank of the Year" in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- 2007 - Pakhta Bank was the first commercial bank in the Republic of Uzbekistan to receive a full international rating from Fitch Ratings.
- 2008 - Paxtabank won the 1st place in the nomination "Best Issuing Bank" in the competition among banks for attracting public deposits, and "OATB Paxtabank" in the nomination "The best bank branch of the year for attracting public deposits located in rural areas" The Chust branch became the winner of the 1st place and was awarded with a diploma and the grand prize "Damas" car.
- 2009 - based on the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 101084 dated 30.03.2009, open joint-stock commercial bank "Agrobank" was established on the basis of OJSC "Paxta-Bank".
- 2010 - Islamic Private Sector Development Association's $5 million credit line was opened to support small businesses and project financing began.
- 2013 - an agreement was signed to attract credit lines in the amount of 5 million US dollars from the Turkish bank "Ziraat".[1]
