BIOGRAPHY[edit]
Lieutenant Muhammad Aqib Shahid born on December 5, 1988, an ex armed forces official who served military as a Lieutenant from 2007 to 2013. Aqib Shahid has been an associate of Pakistani premier law and enforcement agency since 2017.
Born in Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Lieutenant Aqib studied at Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) PNS JAUHAR Karachi, Pakistan, and received a graduation degree from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). Aqib Shahid also holds the LLB degree from University Law College London, United Kingdom.
SERVICE CONTROVERSIES[edit]
Aqib Shahid joined Pakistan Military Academy Kakul as a Gentleman Cadet in 2006 and thereafter was commissioned in Pakistan Navy as a Midshipman officer in 2008.
Having conflicts with Naval Authorities and Secretary Ministry of Defence Lt Gen Khalid Naeem Lodhi, Aqib Shahid had approached the Honorable Sindh High Court for the conversion of Naval Services into Civil Services of Pakistan (FPSC) vide reference constitutional petition no 656/2013. Reportedly Lieutenant Aqib Shahid had qualified the exams of Federal Public Service Commission twice but couldn’t join Foreign Services of Pakistan due to the non provision of NOC from ministry of defence.

In 2013, the Ministry of Defence forcefully discharged/retired Aqib Shahid from Naval service, however, such order regarding discharge from Naval service was challenged in Sindh High Court and subsequently Ministry of defence recalled aforesaid Notification.

Reportedly in 2015, Aqib was kept in illegal custody/detention by Military Intelligence and was charged with false allegations of violating the military act, however, charges were dismissed by District & Session Judge Karachi East, resulting the honorable acquittal of Lieutenant Aqib and consequently Lieutenant filed lawsuits against the military and Naval Intelligence on account of malicious prosecution.

Reportedly, Lieutenant Aqib Shahid was also the subject of an attempt on his life in April 2017, when Aqib was fired upon by three unknown gunmen/terrorists. Lieutenant Aqib had received seven bullet injuries but luckily survived however Lieutenant remained admitted in CCU of Agha Khan Hospital for weeks. Reportedly Lieutenant Aqib through a constitutional petition no 3939/2017 filed in Sindh High Court, alleged Sector Commander military intelligence 202 survey section and the Lyari Gangwar group responsible for such incidents.

Aqib Shahid is known as a genius and highly intellectual personality in military circles, despite having litigation with Naval Intelligence, he has been serving law and enforcement agencies since 2013. Despite multiple tragedies in his professional career, Lieutenant Aqib has always been the blue eye of high officials of armed forces and judiciary both and is considered as a highly influential personality in military establishment. Reportedly Lieutenant Aqib withdrew his constitutional petition against the Federation of Pakistan & others, just one day next to his meeting with present COAS General Syed Asim Muneer Shah NI(M) and Rear Admiral Adnan HI(M).

Aqib Shahid had been called on by various institutes including universities as a Guest speaker on the subject of leadership and strategic studies. In his publications, Lieutenant used to write against the Indian premier intelligence agency RAW, Indian military involvement in Baluchistan and specifically the role of Indian intelligence in disturbing the law and order situation in Pakistan.
