Battle of Rakhs

The Battle of Rakhs took place in 1118 between David the Builder and the Seljuk Turks along the Rakhs (Arez) River. Upon learning that the Seljuks had invaded Javakheti and assassinated Beshken Jakeli, David the Builder, despite resistance from some nobles, led his army to meet the Turk-Seljuks on the Rakhs' edge. The Georgian army successfully defeated the enemy, with many Seljuks either killed or captured. A significant amount of booty was also seized.
