BitPanda is a neobroker investment firm based in Vienna.[1] BitPanda was founded by CEO Eric Demuth in 2014.[2] The company was valued at USD$1.2 billion in March 2021.[3] This made it the first Austrian startup company to become a "unicorn".[4]
For the first seven years of its existence, the company operated a digital finance exchange without an investment license in its home country of Austria, however, it obtained this license in March 2021.[5]
