Clay Pigeon Shooting are a five-piece post-punk outfit from Dublin, Ireland, consisting of Aaron Lawlor (vocals), Brian Briggs (guitar, backing vocals) Darragh Groome (drums, percussion) Luke Kavanagh (guitar, backing vocals) & Max Keating (bass, backing vocals)

The band began sharing their material with live audiences in May of 2022, but wouldn't release anything until October, in favour of cultivating their live sound and performance. They gained initial attention with their debut single " vincent van pox ".[1] The song combines elements of shoegaze, post-punk, and noise rock, with declamatory vocal musings, quickly putting clay pigeon shooting on the map of Dublin's bustling alternative scene.

Their second release recorded at Jejune Music Studios in Drogheda, was released on March 24th of 2023. The song "i win! " [2]was written at a traditional Irish music session, and details a lonely drinker and his surroundings, intensifying, accompanying his own downward spiral.

They plan to release a five track extended play later this year.
