Dangi (Rajput)
The Dangi(Rajput) are a Hindu caste native to northern India.They belonges to rajput community of rathore suryavanshi clan(one of the branch out of 24 branches).[1].some beliefs associate them to kachwaha rajput.Dangi rulers established their state in northern madhya pradesh and uttar pradesh region. Some forts constructed by dangi rulers are khimlasa, vilahra, khurai, sagar & garhpehra[2](sagar district),virata(jhansi) etc. They speak several languages, but Hindi is the most commonly understood language among them. Virata ki padmini (original name - kumud) is one of the honoured example of this community against mughal rulers & their cruelty[3]
