Danny Cortenraede is a serial entrepreneur and investor based in Los Angeles, CA. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of InStudio Ventures, a venture firm with a strong focus on emerging sports, technology, and media companies.[1]
As a seasoned entrepreneur (5X founder) and investor, Cortenraede has built several successful companies on a global scale in recent years. He earned his Executive MBA from Harvard Business School.
Danny is a General Partner at LeAD (Legacy of Adidas), founded by the grandchildren of Adi Dassler, the founder of Adidas. Danny’s venture firms have invested in more than 60 companies, including Tomorrow Group (Tiger Woods) and Religion of Sports, an award-winning media company founded by Tom Brady, Michael Strahan, and Gotham Chopra, among many others.
In addition, Cortenraede is also a co-star and judge of the popular new business reality streaming TV series Unicorn Hunters. He stars alongside notable figures such as Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak, 43rd Treasurer of the United States Rosie Rios, former advisor to Joe Biden Moe Vela, and several other business titans and luminaries.
Cortenraede was selected as one of the top innovators in North America in 2022 by Sportstech X and has been featured in Forbes, Yahoo Finance, and Entrepreneur for his business success.
Due to his entrepreneurial and corporate background, he has developed and maintained relationships with an extensive network of C-suite senior executives at many Fortune 500 companies. Over the last 18+ years, Danny has built strong personal and professional relationships with global investors, UHNWIs, family offices, and the world’s top athletes.
Early Life and Education
Danny Cortenraede was born in Maastricht, Netherlands. He also went to university in the same country, graduating from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences. He earned his Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at Harvard Business School.

Career
Danny Cortenraede has always been driven by a passion for entrepreneurship, a trait he shares with his father and grandfather, who were also successful entrepreneurs. His journey in business began after leaving a high-paid corporate job, leading him to establish Enterprise Media, which served clients like Disney, ABN AMRO, and NS. After selling this company, he ventured into other businesses, including Wannahaves and his private equity firm, DC Venture Capital Partners, and currently investment firm InStudio Ventures.
Growing these ventures into global successes with significant collaborations with brands such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Nike, and Adidas along with leagues like NBA, NFL, and top sports athletes around the world.
As Managing Director and co-founder of Wannahaves, affiliated with 433—the world's biggest soccer community—Cortenraede has collaborated with leading brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, and football clubs including FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Danny opened three offices in Amsterdam, NYC and LA.
Currently, Cortenraede is at the helm of his own investment firm in Los Angeles, with a focus on the sports, media, and entertainment industries. He is working here with the top of the industry leagues like NBA, NFL clubs like LA Lakers, FC Barcelona, PSG and athletes like Kevin Durant, Tiger Woods, Jameis Winston and many more for many years and has built a strong community on a global scale.

Personal Life
Danny Cortenraede came from a family of entrepreneurs, deeming his father and grandfather to be his inspiration to switch careers and start his own companies. Before establishing Wannahaves, he worked for global companies such as Vodafone and Sony.
